everyone likes to talk mustard seed faith, but it’s about much more than that.
as small as a mustard seed is, it isn’t an accurate depiction of faith size.
faith is not designed to be small.
this mustard seed faith you’ve heard about is not about having SMALL faith, it’s about having BIG faith in yourself.
i know, i know…
this revelation likely goes against everything you’ve heard all of your life.
so lemme ask you this:
if you know that giving your best requires giving your all, why flake out in the faith department?
why settle for minimal effort, for exercising small faith?
why not ramp up the effort?
if you’re putting in the bare minimum right now, imagine what your life looks like when you use all of your faith!
what is mustard seed faith, then?
the term mustard seed faith has been twisted + contorted into a literal representation of the mustard.
indulge me for the rest of this post + process this take:
the mustard seed is a mustard seed that has faith in what it is + what can come from it.
it’s faith is in it’s ability to grow into what its intended to be.
you plant a mustard seed + you will get a mustard plant.
it’s so sure of itself, you can put it damn near anywhere + it grows… fast.
you can enjoy it at every stage of its development + in every form; the leaves, the seeds, the flowers, the shoots — all are edible +/or can be used for medicinal purposes.
from a mustard seed, we’re able to cultivate an insect free, pest free, + disease free plant with the most beautiful, vibrant yellow blooms.
it furiously takes up just the right amount of space to suppress weed growth.
it’s small, yet mighty because it’s only focus is in what it’s capable of being.
YOU are the mustard seed, not your faith.
you, like the mustard seed, are designed with a purpose + that’s to grow unabashedly, to bloom, to grace the every place you settle into with your beauty + to add flavor to the world.
like the mustard seed, have faith in your capabilities.
you are fully capable of being you fully + completely.
don’t hold back on being you, fam.
remember:
mustard seed faith is not small faith, it’s the biggest faith there is! faith that requires your all.
will you bet your last dollar on yourself?
that’s the type of faith we’re flexing! it’s not that puny, rinky dink, pathetic form of faith we’ve convinced ourselves we can use to “get by” — nah. we’re thriving out here!
flex your big faith that you can, that life is working for your good, + that whatever you most desire will come to pass for you!
