the bad guy in their story

how many times have you been a bad guy in someone’s story?

last night, i was a bad guy in kid’s story. they wanted candy before bed + that was a negative.

i humbly accept my role as the bad guy in that particular narrative 😅😂

how am I the bad guy here?

we all have played or are playing a “bad guy” role in someone’s story.

from cutting someone off in traffic to taking much needed time for yourself when it inconveniences someone else to simply saying, “no” + all hell breaking loose because how dare you say no, sis?

accept the role you play in their story.

over the course of your life, you are going to find out that you are a villian in someone’s story.

that’s life.

there is nothing that you can do to control how others perceive you or your actions.

folks will have something to say about what you do whether you feel it’s in their favor or not accept that you cannot change them or their perspective.

what you can control

you can control how you perceive yourself, your own intentions, + how you show up in your own story.

ask yourself:

  • am i showing up as the bad guy in my own story?
  • am i my own villain?
  • am i coming for myself daily?
  • am i showing myself i don’t matter?
  • am i giving myself hell unnecessarily?
  • am i giving myself a fighting chance to thrive? to reach my goals?
  • am i putting forth my best effort?
  • am i giving myself a chance to be a hero in my story?

when a hero comes along

if you haven’t caught it by now, the hero in your story is you.

so how will you show up in your own narrative? what does a hero look + act like?

the hero in my story looks like a person committed to daily movement because i want to show up as my best self for myself.

if i can do that for myself, it’s by default that i can do that for others in this world.

i’m saying yes to hydration, no to the junk food, + making overall healthier choices for myself.

i am throwing away the excuses + doing what i can do to not only promote a healthier lifestyle, but to live a healthier lifestyle.

that’s my commitment to me + that’s how i save myself today.

how are you showing up for yourself today?

operate from a place of victory!

you are the victor in your story, not the victim!

you have already won any + all of the battles + challenges you face today + this week — they don’t stand a chance with you!

you say you want ‘xyz’, well what the hell are you doing to get there?

don’t be all talk, show up + act today!

prove it to yourself that you are not going to let yourself go by the wayside.

show yourself that there is nothing you won’t do for yourself to make a better life for yourself —

that you want what you want + are committed to making life your own; to living it on your own terms.

to do this week:

today, sit down + write out how you are showing up for yourself today.

then, do something for yourself today that makes you the victor in your story.

do this every day this week.
