dear dope chick:

it’s time to come out of costume + step up as a person of character.

role playing is over. 

we’re done pretending, fam. 

take off the mask + show up as your authentic self so that what you’re looking for can finally find you, too.

you might can physically catfish us + fool us with your seemingly perfect ways, but the desires of your heart don’t lie.

underneath that mask, not only are you beautifully + wonderfully made, you feel + care deeply.

you worry about tomorrow.

you regret decisions from the past.

you want different from life + at the same time, you’re afraid that you’ve missed the opportunity to give yourself different.  

rest assured you aren’t missing out on opportunities.

nah.

nothing that’s for you is passing you by.

consider this: maybe it’s on a detour.

i meannnnn with you constantly keeping up appearances + looking/acting like everyone else, it’s not hard to see why y’all can never seem to link up —

you’re hard to find. 😬

to be fair, you may not have fully accepted who you are these days, so of course there may be some confusion in the midst.

so let’s set the record straight with this reminder:

you are you — one of one; the dopest of dope.

you’re magnificently + divinely created to be exactly who you are at your core.

what you seek is seeking you, too — the real you.

if you’re in a head-to-toe disguise, how can it find you? 

you know you don’t have to do what they do, believe what they believe, wear what they wear, say what they say, + live how they live, right?

when will you dig deeper than you have before + have the courage to be the person you are at your core?

who are you?

when will you show up as that person?

don’t just ask yourself that question, have the courage to find out.

when you are clear about who you are,

what your heart desires can clearly find you, too.
