can you do better?

happy first day of the month!

you’ve made it through January + you’ve proven to yourself that whatever challenges come in your path you can + will overcome.

today, i’d like for you to channel your focus on any areas that need your immediate attention —

your finances + budget,
your self-development,
your workout routine + overall health,
your self-care routine,
your boundaries, etc.

+ locate any leaks in the system.

are you performing at your best in these areas? of course you are!

can you do better? of course you can!

for example, let’s say you’re saving your coins for a vacation; however, you’ve located a small leak in your budget: eating out.

over time, this can present itself to be a budget buster if you don’t scale back now a little. at the same time, you’d like to enjoy eating out every once + a while. what can you do?

an option could be to buy gift cards to the restaurants you frequent + when the money is gone, it’s gone.

another option is to set a price tag to how much you’ll dedicate to eating out per week + have it only available in cash (that way you aren’t unnecessarily swiping your card).

another option is to focus on when you’re triggered to pick up something to eat — is it on your route to/from work? is it when you’re pressed for time? is it when you feel stressed? maybe focus on planning + prepping for the week to avoid the impulse of having to eat out when you want to “grab a quick bite”.

can you think of other options?

having plans are awesome, well thought out plans are even better, + sticking to the plan is the best way to make shit happen.

all those intentions you set in January need your attention right now.

don’t let them fall by the wayside — stay on top of it.

one step at a time, one day at a time.

you’re one month in + even if you weren’t perfect last month, it’s okay.

it’s a new day.

you can do this today!

be you, be dope!
