the furthest from the truth

assumptions: how many of us have them?

we all do + we use them quite often to help us navigate our time here in a more streamlined fashion.

in that way, they can be viewed as helpful.

on the flip, our assumptions lead us to think thoughts that are not always factually based.

so here we are, jumping to conclusions about a situation when what we think is going on is the furthest from the truth of what’s actually happening.

what you’ve concluded about a person, place, or thing can use some refining.

change is constant —

people change

ideas change

situations change

perspectives change

minute by minute, hour by hour, + day by day we are reintroduced to familiar faces presenting as new people.

you have changed your mind, hell — maybe even changed your drawls, multiple times this week alone!

we all have the ability to transform in the blink of an eye.

challenge what you think you know about yourself + others, fam.

any opinion worth standing firmly in certainty over is worth a closer look.

today, assumptions will rise up + do what they do best: assume.

it’s up to you to choose how you will you handle them when they arise:

will you believe everything you think?

will you ask the necessary questions?

will you listen + learn with fresh ears?

will you be open to life’s changes?

the choice is always yours.

be you, be dope!
