don’t get caught up in the optics

remind yourself this, fam:

we can be sitting together doing the exact same activity at the exact same time + still have a different experience.

though we may be a lot alike, in this regard we are not the same.

you are completely different than anyone you’ll encounter today + that’s what makes your lived human experience yours.

when you find yourself wanting to compare your life to another’s, don’t.

but, we had the same opportunities…

but, that’s not what happened…

but, why do they get this when we both…

stop. it’s not about that.

in the end, perspective is everything.

how you see something may vastly differ from how another sees it — that’s life.

speak up + out while also understanding that there is no right or wrong way to see things.

no one’s asking you to agree with the next person.

the ask is to not get caught up in optics.

you are you. one of one. the creme de la creme + no one can touch that.

own that while also respecting other’s rights to be them fully + completely.

ask yourself:

is your perspective helping propel you into the direction you most desire?

is it holding you back from experiencing life’s freedoms?

when has the comparison game ever truly given you the one-up?

you can change the course of your life at anytime, sis.

our perspectives shape our responses.

how is your perspective influencing your ability to confidently walk your own walk?

be you, be dope!
