complaining about how bad things are + how sucky life feels is pointless.
that whole “woe is me” act is wack.
from this moment onward, let’s release ourselves from the cycle of complaining, fam.
our complaining spirals out of control way too easily + at times, it can be really difficult to remove ourselves from it’s chokehold.
think about how many times you’ve found one thing you disliked about your situation, your day, or your circumstance.
before you know it, you hate all the clothes in your closet + can’t stand people.
how did we get here? how did we take it there? 😩
see the good.
when you find yourself complaining for the sake of complaining, pause, take a few deep breaths + recite:
i am grateful for…
+ name one thing you’re grateful for in that moment.
then do it again,
+ again,
+ again, etc.
you’ll feel a shift — a change in energy, a change in your focus — that propels you in a different direction;
one in which gratefulness is on the tip of your tongue + complaints are seen as what they are:
feedback on your current state of being.
when we complain, we are saying we’re lacking in an area + that we need more of something —
figure out what you need.
then, instead of using use your energy to complain about what you can change, change it while noting whatever is out of your control is … well, out of your control.
be you, be dope!
