when did we collectively start dreading challenges?
when did we start saying, “hard things are to be avoided if you want to have a soft life“?
when did we start believing that challenges are a set up + that participating in such is unnecessary drama that one brings into their life?
challenges are what life is made of, fam
there’s no way the soft life exists without a challenge close by.
you can do hard things.
all of your life you’ve have the ability to overcome hard things.
+ all of your life, up until a certain point of “i ain’t doing this anymore“, you’ve stepped up to the challenge + made it through adversity.
so, what changed for you?
it’s okay to be tired.
rest, fam.
your mind, body, + spirit needs a break.
it’s okay to feel a way about what comes your way.
situations + circumstances arise sometimes seemingly out of no where + at the most inopportune times in our lives.
feeling frustrated,
feeling heartbroken,
feeling disappointed,
feeling stuck,
feeling overwhelmed —
all of those feelings are normal feelings.
feel your feelings.
use them as feedback to help you navigate where you are in this moment vs. where your heart desires to be + find your way back to equanimity.
shift your perspective.
instead of thinking a challenge is a set up, think about how exhilarating it will feel on the other side.
get hype about all the possible ways you can problem solve this.
imagine life without the challenge that you’ve overcome it.
imagine how your mood will shift once the monkey is off your back.
instead of seeing life, your life, + all that is in it as a burden, see it as a blessing.
you have the opportunity today to make some shifts happen in your life + you can do that for yourself today.
the change you seek is on the other side of the challenge.
🗣️ let’s gooooo, fam —
it’s time to change your mind about the challenge ahead + to start relishing in your victory right this moment.
be you, be dope!
