you haven’t met tired until you’re doing absolutely nothing. 😮💨
+ by doing nothing, i don’t mean resting +/or sleeping, either.
this type of exhaustion is from making absolutely no effort whatsoever to live the life you’ve always wanted to live.
this type of tired is a weariness you can’t shake until you spring into action.
it is heavyyyyy, fam.
it’s what sits on your back every single day you decide to ignore your need to do something different.
again, it can’t be cured by rest alone, nor is it tied to your sleeping habits.
it’s an insatiable feeling; a yearning for meaningful life experiences.
this type of tired is only cured by one thing + one thing only:
doing what your heart truly desires.
today, take purposeful action.
defeat weariness by way of accomplishments.
take time to do something that speaks to your spirit, that frees you of the opinions you have about living life a certain way, + liberates you to live life fully + freely.
- you hate the way you’ve been dressing, so why not give your personal style a revamp?
- wear your hair differently
- maybe you’re sick of always performing for others + conforming to society’s beauty standards + to be “you” you decide to apply some makeup or contrastingly, go without it
- read that book you’ve always shied away from because of how you were raised to believe it’s not good for a person of your caliber to read it
- cook a new meal
- change your bedspread +/or rearrange your furniture
- speak up + out for yourself
- say “no” for a change —
- hell, say “yes” for a change!
if you’re gonna feel worn down, at least feel worn down + accomplished, amirite?
be you on purpose.
there’s nothing more tiring then keeping up a facade + not truly being yourself.
you are worth your effort to be all that you’ve ever dreamed of being.
today, shed the fatigue + give yourself permission to be who you’ve always wanted to be by taking the necessary actions to experience life on your own terms.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
write down everything you do in a day, starting from the moment your eyes open in the morning to the moment your head hits the pillow at night.
do you like what you’re doing/how you’re using your time?
if not, what would you rather do with your time?
in what ways can you rearrange your schedule to better accommodate the meaningful + heartfelt activities that you desire to experience?
