this ain’t your first rodeo

there once was a time when you hesitated on yourself.

you saw a challenge before you + instead of going straight for it with all effort in tow, you stopped.

you complained about it.

you denied that it was happening.

you said, “nope“.

you insisted that the circumstances were unfair + refused to participate.

+ yet that same challenge still remained in front of you.

one day, you decided to do something about it.

maybe you were inspired by a passage you read,

maybe you were so fed up about your situation you felt you had nothing to lose.

whatever the motivation was to get you started, you started.

though hesitant, you took a step forward + did something; you took action.

once you took action, you saw things different than you had before this moment.

you saw that over time, as momentum built, the challenge begin melting away.

you found that you had what it took after all to change how the situation presented itself in your life.

eventually, the challenge was no longer a challenge —

it was a part of your history.

*|FNAME|*, you can relate to this story because this story applies to us all.

this story is a tale as old as time.

you’ve done this countless times before —

said “i can’t, ain’t no way!” + then witnessed yourself overcoming some of the most difficult challenges placed on your path.

yet here you are again, fam —

forgetting that you are fully capable of getting through any challenge that presents itself to you.

remind yourself who you are today + refuse to give up on yourself.

accept what’s happened,

say “yes, i can!“,

forget about the circumstances,

+

take it one step at a time.

you’ve got this!

be you, be dope!
