if it’s help that you need, do this

your contribution to this world doesn’t go unnoticed, fam.

sometimes it can feel that way, but let’s remember: feelings aren’t facts.

still, that doesn’t negate the times we feel unappreciated or taken for granted.

feeling overlooked can be a real rollercoaster ride of emotion + a blow to our self confidence.

today, remind yourself that in whatever you do, you add value.

you don’t have to take anything you do for granted.

notice all that you do from keeping the family unit tight to running the home smoothly to offering a safe space for others to share their truths without ridicule of judgement.

the smallest things you do — perhaps today it looks like reading a bed time story or cleaning the dishes — all have incredible impact in not only your life, but in the lives of the people who get to experience your gifts in those moments.

when you’re feeling burned out or down + out, acknowledge how you’re feeling in the moment.

if it’s validation you need, be kind to yourself + do something dope for yourself, too. while it’s nice to hear kind words or to be met with kind gestures from others, you don’t have to wait for others to be kind to you before recognizing your value.

if it’s help that you need, ask for help. closed mouths don’t get fed + if you’re overwhelmed, there’s no harm in sharing the load with others.

if it’s rest that you need, take your rest without explanation. if you’re resting then it’s clear you need it. radically + unapologetically take your rest.

because of the value that you bring, you help elevate the vibration of the world.

even when silence + a listening ear is all that you can give, that is enough to make someone’s whole life, fam.

you are not superhuman, nor were you designed to be one.

you are a dope ass spirit living a human experience who adds incredible value to this world by simply being you.

be you, be dope!
