the new automatic response to constant working

as you look back over the year, you’ll realize how much you’ve accomplished over its course.

you have been workin’ working, do you hear me?

today, inspire yourself to keep going.

continue doing the work, fam.

what?

you thought i was gonna say stoptake a hiatusyou’re finished, hooray?

actually, no, i’m encouraging you to keep up the dope work.

rest implied (because we have to have rest), doing the work is critical to your overall wellbeing.

get out of the habit of thinking everything work related is tied to a company, or a 9-5, or some type of entrepreneurial endeavor — no. no, no, no!

the work we’re talking about looks like:

  • stilling your mind
  • taking time for yourself
  • taking care of your body
  • resting when tired
  • checkin’ your attitude
  • choosing your words
  • picking your battles
  • listening without interjection or judgement
  • seeing the opportunities
  • remaining open to the possibilities
  • letting go + flowing
  • maintaining equanimity
  • getting outside of your head
  • remembering who you are

when you’re succeeding, keep going.

when you’re failing, keep going.

when you’re grateful, keep going.

when you’re hesitant, keep going.

you are completely capable, you’ve got what it takes, + you of all people know how to make it happen for yourself.

your steadfastness is the key to your success.

keep workin’, fam!

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

when you hear the word “work”, what instantly fills your mind?

if you think of work in terms of what you as a job, in what ways can you deprogram your mind to believe the automatic response of work being 9-5 related?
