actively wanting to avoid something?
simple.
instead of focusing on what you want to avoid, focus your energy on what you want to maintain or create.
focusing on what you don’t want only brings even more attention to it.
by focusing on what’s important to you, what you want to uphold, what you want to maintain, + what you want to see happen in your life, you have the opportunity to create + see it come into fruition + aren’t fearfully + actively avoiding it should it happen to appear.
for example: nationally + globally, we focus on how much we didn’t want to get sick from various sicknesses + diseases.
however, individually, we can focus on our current state of health + build upon how well we are in the moment by taking actions that support + maintain wellness in our lives rather than panicking about what can potentially arise; you know — prevention 🤌🏾
today, become proactive about the decisions you make + intentional about what you choose to show your concern.
the best way to actively avoid being broke is by acknowledging + maintaining the abundance of wealth you already have in your life.
the best way to actively avoid severing solid relationships someone or losing something is by appreciating the time + moments you have with them now.
the best way to actively avoid death is by living a full + rich life, by remaining present + in the moment, + by being alive.
your energy is best used creating what best serves you, what uplifts you, + what encourages you to live your life unapologetically.
worrying exhausts you, it enlarges *potential* problems, + it sends you down a rabbit hole of ‘what ifs’.
so, since we’re there worrying with the what ifs:
what if you decide, today, to create a life that centers + celebrates all that you are today + all that is right now?
what can come of that?
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
let’s clear the air: what are you most worried about right now in your life?
do you have what you need in this moment? if yes, then what can you do now to circumvent that worry?
if not, do you have the decision making skills to seek help +/or talk it through with someone you trust?
if so, start there. granted, they can’t give you concrete answers about what do to with your life, but they can inspire you to start, go, finish, pivot, etc. you’ve got this!
