at this point, you know what you must do + why you must do it.
you understand that it it aligns with your goals + desires, yet + still you have not one bone in you that wants to do it.
so what you gonna do?
today, ask yourself why this task is important to you.
you hear your parents saying it’s important to get done, but why does it matter to you?
your instructors +/or your bosses said this is important to learn this skill, but why is it important to you?
it’s abundantly clear your doctors are recommending doing this for the sake of your health, but why is doing this important to you?
others can’t want it more than you do, fam.
we can encourage you, cheer you on, + shout “get it done” more than we’d like + still the onus of fulfilling the task lies upon you.
there isn’t a book that you can read,
a podcast you can listen to,
or a person you can call that will lead you or coax you into doing what must be done.
“because…” doesn’t hold the power to inspire you into action,
let your why be your reason.
giving away your power of choice + believing that the only reason you’re doing what you’re doing is because someone else is making you do it isn’t sustainable.
saying, “i want to take care of my family” is much different than saying + believing, “my family relies on me so i’ve gotta do this for them“.
what do you want, fam?
why do you want it?
what must you do to get it?
what are you doing now to get it?
you gotta want it for yourself.
dig deep, find that motivation to get it done, + do what you came here to do: to live life on your own terms.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
it’s easy to pawn off why we do what we do onto others.
what do you want?
why do you want it?
what must you do to get it?
what are you doing now to get it?
