today, when you get angry, get curious, too.
anger gets a bad rap, but it is extremely useful.
choosing to get angry means one thing:
you don’t like what’s presently happening.
maybe it’s what’s actually happening in the moment that you can’t stand behind,
maybe it’s the feeling you feel thinking about what happened in the past that makes your blood boil,
or maybe it’s thinking about what may happen in the future based on what’s happening now that tugs at your heart strings.
it is your choice to feel angry, fam.
it is also your choice to allow anger to radicalize you into action.
your anger is telling you that things need to change; that you need to change.
you may not have control over the situation you’re in or of the circumstances you’re facing, but you do have control over what you will do with your anger right here, right now.
stop condemning yourself for feeling how you feel + for expressing anger in times of distress + difficulty.
instead, acknowledge that it’s here + allow it to speak to you, to tell you why it appeared, + give yourself space to process its origin + permission to move forward with grace, compassion, understanding, + love.
most importantly, let the anger go.
it’s served it purpose, now act with purpose on purpose.
be you, be dope!
