the beauty of our minds is that no one of us thinks exactly alike.
we all have a unique perspective that are coupled with differing opinions due to our diverse life experiences.
today, honor + accept that the opinions of others + of yourself may differ at times + that’s okay.
it’s life, fam.
also remember:
acceptance doesn’t mean supporting or endorsing what they say as truth or fact, it simply means that you’re giving people the space to be who they are fully + completely.
not gone hold you:
hearing a difference of opinion can be challenging at times.
naturally, we want people to agree with us, to side with our stance, + to validate our viewpoint — we want to feel seen.
when it comes to honoring different viewpoints, you’ll find your greatest successes come from understanding why you + others feel the way we do.
so ask questions, dig deeper, + challenge your own perspective with healthy discourse, + intentional listening + learning.
who knows — you may find out you have more in common than your differences allow you to initially see.
be you, be dope!
