you know what, fam?
a well curated morning routine is a game changer.
it not only sets the mood for the day, it instills in us the confidence + provides momentum to move with purpose on purpose.
once you start moving + grooving in your day, finding ways to cultivate a happy groove + purposeful routine, the likelihood of you stopping anytime soon is slim to none.
you’re doing what you’re doing not because you feel obligated to it, you’re doing it because you feel energized to do it — there’s a difference so let me explain.
even if you must get something done, when you feel you are choosing to do it over feeling pressured, pushed, + coaxed into doing, you experience it in a different, very intentional way.
today, set the mood for your day by setting a tone for your morning.
this routine doesn’t have to be elaborate, it doesn’t require you to wake up at 3 AM, and it doesn’t have to be strict + followed to the letter.
when thinking of what ways to set the mood for your day, think on the following:
what is the first thing you do now when you wake up in the morning? are you satisfied with how it impacts your mood? if not, what can you do instead of that?
additional questions about your morning routine:
- what words can you say to yourself or out loud that will get you pumped up + ready to go?
- are you drinking water? if so, are you drinking enough to quench your thirst + get your digestive tract moving?
- are you stretching? if so, where, to what extent, + for how long?
- are you making your bed? if not, are you willing to try it to see how you like it?
- are you listening to music? if so, what kind?
- are you showing gratitude? if so, what for?
- are you wearing clothes +/or accessories that reflect who you are at your core + do you feel good in them? if not, why not?
- are you eating nourishing foods? if not, what can you eat this morning that will leave a healthy imprint on your body?
side note: i never realized how parched + dehydrated i was waking up until i started drinking 1-2 glasses of water first thing in the morning.
wow, did my body instantly feel different + to this day, i make drinking water first thing in the morning a part of my daily routine.
when you know your day is full of tasks that you are dreading to do, having that morning routine is the way to get started on your own terms.
first thing in the morning ain’t time for you to stress about that task that’s been wrecking your brain + giving you bubble guts anytime its mentioned.
make the top of the morning the time for you to do what you love, to get creative, + to start your day off peacefully, fam.
living a dope ass life requires effort, intention, + discipline, + the momentum you create from a well curated morning routine can truly set the tone for a bomb ass day.
be you, be dope!
