in situations where there may be a lot to do with minimal time to get it done, do this:
woosah — take a breather + relax your whole being.
doing the most + doing it frantically may present like an effective solution, but it’s not sustainable.
instead, with the time you have now, take the opportunity to pause, gather your thoughts, + then make meaningful (intentional) moves.
anxiety has proven to you time + time again that it wants you to work in overdrive + that it causes you to severely overthink situations.
while it means well, it causes you to get uptight + hyper focused, obsessing over the smallest things that won’t matter in the long run +/or desperately wanting control over uncontrollable.
today, take your time.
when situations present themselves as overwhelming, stop what you’re doing, breathe some deep calming breaths, + relax into the moment.
there’s no need to fret or to worry right now.
taking one moment for yourself to reset your nervous system will allow you to review your actions, to reestablish your intention, + to redirect your focus.
you know what needs to be done + you can do it with calmness + ease.
you have time, fam. relax.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
recall a time today when you felt flustered + you were able to calm yourself + redirect your energy. did you get what needed to be done, done? if so, did it feel different than if you were to rush through the process? if not, what ended up happening? explain.
