wishing won’t make life better

at times, it may seem you have abundance overflowing.

at other times, it may seem you are making it off of scraps + prayers.

your circumstances don’t matter, fam.

it’s not about the quantity of what you have,

it’s not even about the quality of what you have —

it’s about using what you have.

you have enough to start.

starting doesn’t require the fanciest tools or state of the art gadgets.

you don’t need a pocket planner with all the bells + whistles to start jotting down dates, events, activities, + ideas —

use a small notebook for the time being.

you don’t need the acrylic organizers or wooden hangers you see ever influencer using to organize your closet —

repurpose + use old boxes while using the hangers you have now to actually hang up your clothes + organize your space.

you don’t need a high powered, cutting edge ninja to make smoothies —

use that blender you’ve got or the one you found on sale to start making those smoothies.

wishing you had better won’t make your life better.

in most cases, wishing your reality away only makes you resent what’s here now, making your life that much more unenjoyable.

today, practice gratitude.

gratitude is using all that you’ve been given over the course of your life —

all the lessons, all the creativity, all of the skills + knowledge, + all of the material possessions you currently have to help you experience the lifestyle you most desire; to make a difference in your life.

because our lives are ever-changing, the changes we make today will be part of the litany of changes we experience on a daily basis.

as your circumstances shift, remember that they truly don’t matter —

whatever the circumstance, you can + will always find your way.

be you, be dope!
