how to “feel good” about what you’re doing

if you’re doing something for the sole purpose of feeling good about it, then the pleasure you seek may not actually find you.

expand your way of thinking beyond the pleasure + do what you do with purpose + passion.

see, true pleasure is a byproduct of taking purposeful action.

when the intention is to make an impact, to bring value, + to be a positive influence in the lives of those you touch, pleasure has no choice but to find you.

today, rediscover your “why“.

why are you doing what you’re doing in the first place?

people serve their communities for many reasons, even for criminal recourse, so why are you doing it?

people cook dinner for their families regularly, so why are you doing it?

people read books all the time, so why are you doing it?

feeling good about anything you do must come from the core of you + must align with your values in order for it to be longstanding + intentional.

there are many off the cuff experiences we indulge in daily (’cause those cookies be looking gooder than a mug), but overindulging in that short term pleasure regularly + consistently may not always align with our long term lifestyle goals…

it usually leads to shame + regret.

so what was the overindulgence for in the first place?

remember your why, fam.

it’s one thing to do something just so you can temporarily get your rocks off.

it’s another thing to feel good as a result of making a difference.

be you, be dope!
