there is so much excitable energy attached to new + shiny things.
when we start a new task, undertake a new venture, or receive the latest gadgets, we are super excited to get going, to use them, + to explore them.
but what happens when the excitement fades?
there are challenges that still need our attention, tasks that still need to be finished, + yet when the excitement has waned, it seems all motivation has gone out with it.
stay the course, fam.
to complete a task one must finish the task.
see it through ’til the end.
your word is your bond + the promises you’ve made deserve your honor + your fulfillment.
there’s always something new + shiny waiting in the shadows.
don’t get distracted by what could be + follow-through with what is important: finishing what must be done.
the hype was hype while the hype lasted.
now we are here: in the calm, quiet parts of work that goes unseen, unnoticed, + is largely unimportant to many.
engage your efforts less in concerting excitement around your task + instead, focus on finishing.
the will is there + the opportunity is now — you can do it, fam!
be you, be dope!
