do you think you’re the shit or are you skillful + know your shit?
i mean, having a little bit of both is cool, but let’s be real here:
sustainability comes from skills, not from ego.
skills take time to refine, to hone, + to develop.
our ego can even conflate our skills to push them to the next level.
with the right amount of audacity, our skills can soar from mediocre to “damn” because we put in more effort, more focus, + more energy into enhancing them.
however, ego without skill is an arrogant laced crock of shit. 💩
instead of being the shit + doing all of the dope things because you have the skills to back up your claims, ego has you touting claims that you’re capable of more than what you’ve proven to yourself that you can do.
now listen, fam — ain’t nothing wrong with having confidence + believing in ones ability to get shit done.
you + i both also know that there’s no need to humble brag when you know what you know + can back that shit up whenever, wherever, doing whatever you know how to do.
so back to the initial question: do you think you’re the shit or are you skillful + know your shit?
the difference?
one is full of hot air + ego. it lacks action. 😒
the other requires learning, improving your skills, + establishing your track record by doing the damn thang, you’re confident — you’ve earned your right to talk yo shit, fam!
be you, be dope!
