opportunities aren’t by happenstance

creating opportunities for yourself requires you to see, validate, + act on the small details in your life.

it may not mean much to you that you enjoy a warm beverage in the park every morning while striking up conversations to those passing by,

or

that you reach out to people on their birthdays + other special personal holidays that are important to them to tell them you’re thinking about them + you wish them well

or

it may not click that being kind + friendly to the parents + caregivers of your child’s teammates +/or classmates opens a ton of doors for you —

but hear me out, fam:

anything that you do in your life that reflect your purest intentions + aligns with your heart’s desires, no matter how great or small, creates opportunities that align with the core of who you are.

job offers, budding friendships, hangout invites, unwavering support don’t occur by happenstance.

these opportunities are all byproducts of who you’ve decided to show up as every day.

without you being you, none of these opportunities would exist or make sense.

it’s not simply a coincidence that an opportunity that aligns with exactly what you need + deserve in the moment pops up in your life, fam.

you think you’re getting a free drink or meal at your favorite restaurant by chance?

or that you’ve got childhood friends that you can call right now + they show up for you on special occasions simply because?

or that people recognize you as a leader in the community because you stay home + sit on the couch?

no — you receive these recognitions + have these relationships because you are doing + have done the work, fam —

you are showing up well before the opportunity presents itself.

so no, you’re not lucky.

you work, you create, you curate, + you participate — you are taking action!

the small things matter more than many of us realize, fam.

to score big opportunities you must be willing to show up for the smallest, most insignificant moments in your life.

today, make each moment count.

the opportunity presents itself when it shows you’re consistency + willingness to rise to the occasion.

be you, be dope!
