life is so beautifully complex.
one minute i’m looking at a weed growing in a garden + upon picking it, i pause + realize how intricately made it is, how beautiful it is up close + personal.
next thing i know, i’m sitting down looking it up, questioning why i pulled it in the first place —
is it truly destructive in nature?
what are the benefits of keeping + cultivating it?
in what ways (if any) can it serve my garden?
why was it labeled it as a weed?
+ see, that’s the thing, fam —
what one person may extract from a situation may no be what others initially see, understand, or experience; however, when knowledge is gained + shared it can change our perspectives, our hearts, + our way of life.
when we take a hard look at our challenges, our struggles + our grievances, initially we may only see the downside of them.
however, when we take a step back + appreciate them for what they are, we can discover the beauty that resides within them, too.
most things in life are mislabeled due to their complexity + our need to oversimplify + stick it with an “easy to understand” label.
but i challenge you today, fam —
lead with curiosity.
question what you think you already know.
behold the beauty in all that you do.
the labels you’ve assigned + preconceived notions you have about life has you looping + unable to truly learn about + lean into life’s complex simplicity.
today, go down the rabbit’s hole + see for yourself how beautifully complex life truly is.
be you, be dope!
