instead of “i’ll feel better when…”
why not choose to feel better now?
instead of waiting for your circumstances to change before you give yourself permission to exhale,
why not let it all go now?
instead of wishing you could have that old thang back,
why not feel good about where you are right now?
feel your feelings right now, fam.
there’s no use waiting to achieve a certain going before feeling content when you can choose to feel content right now.
see, somewhere along the way of life you were taught to push your feelings aside
+
wish for better circumstances before you feel excited, joy, peace — anything that is worth the feels.
but fam, all feels are worth the feel.
without the disappointment,
we wouldn’t understand how intense contentment can feel.
without chaos,
we wouldn’t begin to comprehend how calm feels.
without discouragement,
encouraging yourself would feel like a bland stale mayonnaise sandwich — no flavor, no sustenance, no nothing!
well — what are you waiting for?
decide, right now, that any + every feeling is a message, + it’s okay to feel what you feel, to acknowledge the impact its made on your life, to release + let go.
you don’t have to look further than this moment to see that every possible feeling you’d like to feel exists right here, right now.
gon’ ‘head + make the powerful choice of feeling your best.
be you, be dope!
