building a strong connection with yourself helps you do this

what you’re looking for can be found within you, fam.

healing your relationships begins with healing yourself, + you possess all that’s needed to get started on that journey.

while many will say, phrases like “self love is all you need” or “love yourself“, being loved + appreciated outside of your own volition is also an integral part of your human development + overall wellbeing.

it’s okay + perfectly normal to want to be desired, cared for, + appreciated by others.

humans desire connection + guess what, fam?

you are definitely human.

within you is where this journey starts.

today, decide how important community is to you + don’t sit on that feeling — take action.

find your folks.

+ the way you find your folks is by looking within + noticing who you are, what you value, + what connections you’d like to make based on your interests.

when you know who you are at your core + you are comfortable with being you, finding your people can be a lot easier.

you won’t have to code switch, you won’t have to pretend, + you won’t have to put up a facade to feel loved, appreciated, + supported.

connecting with yourself first better allows for you to connect with others.

though self-love may be the foundation, emotionally healthy relationships we cultivate with others enrich our lives by adding sprinkles of joy, love, + support when we need it most.

be you, be dope!
