change, in theory, is a fairly simple task to execute + implement.
you decide that you want different than what you’re experiencing, change a few things in your life, + bam: a new experience leading to instant gratification.
in reality, change is one of the most difficult tasks one can undertake.
due to our various comfort levels, we will hesitate on change because well… the work it entails doesn’t appeal to us in the moment.
we’ll find excuses to stay in our current routines knowing we hate how it makes us feel.
we’ll say things like, “well, when you think about it, it’s not that bad…”, knowing for damn sure that it’s that bad.
we’d rather be uncomfortable than inconvenienced, fam —
we’d rather continue pouring our efforts into rescuing a sinking ship than learning how to swim.
today, realize that a part of the journey is knowing when to pivot, when to pause, + when to persevere.
it’s less about optics + more about living through learning, + growing.
when something isn’t working for you, don’t be afraid to do something different with your time, energy, + resources.
change is fluid + is a part of life, fam, so making changes is expected + normal behavior.
in life, it best serves us to objectively + honestly view where we are now in life + determine if this way is the best way for us in this moment.
take some time today to determine whether or not your current actions align with your “why” + if they do not, don’t be afraid to make some much needed, possibly difficult, changes to your current lifestyle.
if anyone can do it, know that you can. 🖤
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
why must you continue holding onto a routine or set of actions that doesn’t fully serve you or align with who is you are striving to become or what you want to experience in life?
why is your fear bigger than your faith?
