in most instances, we only see what we expect to see.
our minds + eyes are so trained to see what flows that it sometimes skips over what doesn’t belong +/or labels it as an anomaly.
so then it leaves us to only see what we expect ourselves to see.
this isn’t an issue being we are experiencing countless happenings at any given moment.
focusing on what is expected is one way we filter the nonsense + chaos.
but what if we are also constantly filtering out the goodness that life has to offer?
what if we are so resolved in our expectations that experiencing mediocrity is common place + acceptable?
what if, instead of seeing what is expected, we give way + make space for unexpected dope opportunities?
well how do we do that, P?
we do that by changing our expectations.
today, elevate your lived experiences by expecting the unexpected.
maybe in times past you didn’t expect for things to work out, you expected the bare minimum, +/or you expected absolutely nothing to come of it.
readjust your expectations.
expect the best, fam.
operate from a place of wealth, abundance, + gratitude.
imagine that all things have already worked out in your favor,
that opportunities are overflowing,
that possibilities are endless,
+
that the best is yet to come.
expectations can confuse us into thinking that what we’re experiencing now is all that life can be.
experience life in its fullness by living + operating in a way that supersedes your wildest dreams; by expecting to receive everything that is for you —
abundance overflowing.
you are the dream, fam.
keep living + keep achieving.
be you, be dope!

| write down your ultimate life or career goal. instead of focusing on the specific way you thought it had to happen, brainstorm three entirely different, unexpected avenues that could bring you to that exact same feeling of fulfillment. |
