feeling down? pay close attention to the following

today, there will be a culmination of things that go right, things that work out, + things that pass the vibe check in your life —

acknowledge them.

you won’t make it through the day without at least one thing going right, fam.

usually, it’s the things we overlook that make our days run smoothly.

pay close attention to:

the smiles you give + receive

laughter in quiet moments

the joy you bring out in yourself + others

the passion you have when concentrating on a task that interests you

the patience you exude when listening to a story

the genuineness behind the words, “i love you” + various ways people express it

+ even on a more subtle level:

your lights coming on when you flip the switch

the rain we’ve experienced after a long drought

the heat/ac coming on to take the chill/heat out of your home

the breeze + clouds Mother Nature sends to shield you from the sunniest moments

your clothed + fed body

your calm (when present) spirit

the fact that you woke up this morning 

yea, the gas prices are through the roof right now + there may be a traffic jam on your way to work.

yet, you have a car to ride comfortably in, you have a job to go to, + you have gas in the tank.

there are undone tasks, calls to make, projects to finish, + plans that need more planning before they become anything that resembles plans

+

still, you are available now to complete those tasks, make those calls, finish those projects, + plan the plans on purpose with purpose.

things go “wrong” as they sometimes will, fam — that’s life.

however, it’s up to you to acknowledge + hone in on the things that work for you + that you seem to take for granted. 

remember: it’s up to you to see + experience the good.
