how does it make you feel knowing that you can walk into today scot-free?

i know you’re thinking how, though? —

how in the world can i move around as free as i wanna be today as if that thing that happened never happened?

as if my past won’t catch up to me?

as if i deserve the kind of grace of forgiving + forgetting?

in fact, i’ve asked myself the same thing.

i know how burdensome the burdens of worry can feel. 😔

fortunately, giving yourself a fresh start depends on one thing:

it ain’t the easiest shit to do, though.

moving past your shortcomings requires you to:

be honest with yourself + acknowledge what happened — yea, i did the shit

extend grace to yourself — i’m still learning + i can change

apply what you’ve learned through action — yes! i am changing this!

you are different + doper than you ever were before, fam.

acknowledge your growth,
walk into this brand new day with a renewed spirit,
+ give yourself a fighting chance to change today!
