less “take me back” + more “i love it here”

we’ve all experienced a “take me back” moment —

take me back to [that dope vacation spot],

take me back to [that moment in time],

take me back to [that one food joint] —

we long to be where we feel deeply connected to the experience —

where we had the best time, we experienced feelings of euphoria, +/or we created dope memories.

reminiscing is cool + all, but what about now, fam?

why go back in time when we can make a beautiful experience now?

remembering how dope something is + the honoring the way its shaped us is an awesome reflective practice.

still, it’s even more productive to practice participating in the present, using your time to enjoy this moment rather than wishing to run the clock back.

so, how about this, fam:

today, we focus on enjoying our time in the here + now.

yes, i’m suggesting that we turn our now into an “i love it here” moment.

this moment can easily turn into another memory you can casually recall when you’re remembering how dope your life is.

whatever you wanna feel + experience, you can feel + experience that now.

creating moments in your life is always a choice you are authorized to make.

today,

feel your best,

do your best,

+

live your best life yet.

life is less about what you experience

+

more about what you make of your experiences.

be you, be dope!
