deciding to live in positivity requires more than you going around reciting affirmations every chance you get.
at times, living a positively driven life looks like being down + out, frustrated + distraught, + even crying, worrying, + asking, “why me?“.
none of that sounds positive, does it?
that’s because it’s not about the moment of feeling or emotion that overtakes you, it’s about your intentionality in bouncing back; recovering from the moment.
living a positive life requires you to make a decision:
will you take accountability for your feelings + emotions?
will you engage in self reflection + change your attitude?
will you purposefully find a way to realign with your core + rediscover equanimity?
today, even when life is lifin’, choose to remain on the up + up.
sure, you will get overwhelmed + you may even lose your cool —
now that it’s happened, what are you doing to recenter?
no matter what happens today, remind yourself that life is working for your good.
anything perceived as negative cannot be negative once it meets you, fam — why?
because life is always working for your good + you’re choosing to see it that way, fam.
what’s most important is that you know + continue focusing your mindset to view the positives in your life.
be you, be dope!
