not only is this a time sucker, it’s destructive

worrying is not only a time sucker, it’s destructive, too.

by now, we know how much time can be wasted worrying about shit that likely won’t happen +/or when it does happen, we are usually capable of dealing with it so we worried about it for no damn reason.

but we rarely talk about how much destruction it brings into our lives.

it destroys our self esteem,

it makes us question our decision making skills,

it attacks our intuition,

+

it drastically reduces our chances of moving forward +/or beyond that point.

when we worry, we are telling ourselves that we lack the skills, the knowledge, the creativity, + the courage to roll with life’s punches + overcome challenges.

as if your track record touts otherwise, it’s been proven time + time again that you’re a natural born problem solver, fam.

you may not have all of the answers in this moment, but damn — by forgetting how dope you are, it’s causing you to act like you ain’t never beat the odds or accomplished shit in your life.

today, don’t acknowledge your problems + shortcomings without also acknowledging that you’re still here, you’re a survivor, + that you have, can, + will make shit happen.

here you are — capable of thinking anything about yourself or a situation + you’re choosing to worry about some shit that ain’t worth the worry because its already working itself out.

luckily, the damage of worrying is reversible + you can work through any thoughts of inadequacy by proving to yourself that you can; by taking action in spite of those limiting thoughts.

it may take time + that fine —

regaining your sense of self, remembering who tf you are is worth the time + energy you’re willing to put into it.

be you, be dope!
