you may not feel like you can do a lot in this moment, but there is one thing you can most certainly do right now:
do your best, fam.
now isn’t the time to cut corners, to reason with yourself to do the bare minimum, no —
do your best + the rest will fall into place.
- when you’re having a hard time coping or you’re grappling with your feelings, do your best to ease your anxiety by slowing down, breathing, + implementing techniques that help regulate your nervous system.
- when you’re having a tough time focusing, do your best to recenter + refocus — maybe go for a walk, dance your wiggles out, or swing + sway for a bit before reconnecting with the task.
- when you’re having a difficult time understanding why someone acts the way they do, do your best to shift your focus to accepting what is + to understanding what it feels like moving ahead with unanswered questions; what it feels like to tap into the unknown yet finding + centering joy in those moments of uncertainty.
what you do today is history in the making.
you have the chance to perform at your greatest level yet, a performance that outshines anything you’ve done in the past because of how dedicated you are to showcasing your best efforts.
it takes a great deal of courage to convince yourself to move + act with your best intentions in mind — takes integrity, too.
the yields of your best are the real game changers + once you experience the satisfaction of giving your all, you tend to feel victorious no matter the outcome.
be you, be dope!
