of all of the moments you can live out fully + completely, why wish away this one?
how do you know that the moment won’t change your life for the best?
the phrases such as:
“i wish I was at/in…”
“vacation me, please!”
“why can’t today be (insert day of the week)!?”
“when is the weekend again?”
only serve to pull you out of focus, out of the moment, + into a state of comparison.
nothing compares to this moment, fam.
when you talk about the weekend + vacation, what you’re really asking for is:
peace
serenity
quiet + stillness
grounding
reconnection
rest, refresh, + recharge
the peace, et al that you’re looking for is in this moment right now.
all that you seek exists + is here, but with you wishing the moment away you aren’t able to see it, accept it, + appreciate it.
today, appreciate where you are + what you have by acknowledging + accepting that it exists.
also, when you want to experience something, use the moment to do it.
don’t be afraid to:
close your eyes
take a moment or two for yourself
say “not right now”
rest unapologetically
reconnect through breath work, grounding, prayer +/or meditation
the moment is here, it’s now, + it’s waiting for you to enjoy it, accept it, + relish in it.
you can make a difference in your life + in the lives of many when you decide to take advantage of each moment you’ve been assigned here on this earth.
this place, this time, is your opportunity filled with endless possibilities to experience a life that you’ve always wanted to live
+
you can do that for yourself today by embracing the moments you wish away.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
what do you want in this moment that you feel you have to wait to receive? what’s available to you to use/do now? in what ways are you using what you’ve got to get what it is that you want?
