when you feel as though life is going from bad to worse,
stop.
breathe.
release that thought.
listen: i know it’s challenging to implement those steps when you’re used to operating otherwise.
i’ve seen unfavorable circumstances take place, thrown my hands up, + asked “why me?” 😩 or “here we go again with the bs…” 😒
been there, done that.
so, what has changed?
change, for me, looks like an attitude adjustment.
it’s realizing that life is working for, better yet with me.
i genuinely ask myself:
why would i be put here, in this situation, to be sabotaged?
what does anyone truly gain from seeing me on my ass?
there may be people praying for your downfall, but that’s not your business, fam.
focus on how to uplift yourself,
how to keep yourself from falling into the dark pit of despair,
how to really pay attention to your needs + provide yourself with love, reassurance, + affection.
let go of the old story you’ve been living + convincing yourself is true.
today, focus on the revisions you’ve made in your attitude + mindset.
affirm:
life is happening + i get to choose my attitude towards it.
is it good? is it bad? it’s all perception.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
recall a time when you’ve pegged a situation as going from bad to worse. what happened? what made you feel it was going in a downward spiral?
with what you know + think now, are you able to reframe what happened? why or why not?
