“i don’t feel like it”
is the biggest dream delayer,
relationship killer,
momentum pauser,
excuse making phrase there is.
it’s a tricky phrase to use because on one hand your feelings are totally valid;
on the other hand, your feelings are not facts.
so how do we acknowledge how we feel without allowing our feelings to dictate what we do?
listen to your feelings —
what they are telling you need right now in this very moment, fam?
are you tired? hungry? parched?
do you need to clean your space before proceeding?
do you need some body movement to get you going?
are you overwhelmed + in search for quiet time?
feelings are feedback.
once you know what your feelings are telling you about the moment, you can move forward with a plan, with clarity, + with purpose.
though important, your current feelings + thoughts are not your whole entire being; they aren’t your life, fam.
you may not want to do something, yet it doesn’t absolve you of responsibility of what must be done.
remember who you are at your core,
tap into your why,
+
move with intention —
on purpose, with purpose.
be you, be dope!

| explore your feelings. is what you’re feeling actually about right now, or is it an echo from an old wound, a past relationship, or a future “what-if”? |
