sometimes, the mere thought of relaxation makes expending energy enjoyable + exciting.
knowing you can kick off your shoes, jump on the couch, + rub your feet together when you get back home is a joy that people who work hard know too well.
the same can be said for spending a few days without your significant other (the joy of reuniting) or fasting for a few days —
whether financially or physically, the act of giving up + gain creates a sense of satisfaction within us.
you wouldn’t know this feeling without having to go through some shit, fam.
we appreciate success much more when there’s some struggle involved.
this isn’t an invitation go out + make shit hard on yourself —
life will humble you without your help, fam + it has all the peaks + valleys it needs to help you experience a full + rich life.
we know love because we’ve experienced grief.
we relish in peace because we’ve experienced unrest.
we feel joy because we’ve experienced pain.
we appreciate the sunshine because we’ve experienced the rain.
today, appreciate where you’ve been + where you are today.
although painful at times to reminisce upon, some of our hardest lessons have shaped us into the dope person we are now.
without the “bad” stuff we encounter, we’d starve our highest good + our best efforts in life would be meaningless.
shifting your perspective allows for you to see the best in every situation because while annoying in the moment, the challenges you’re experiencing are making way for your growth + expansion.
be you, be dope!
