take your time today.
don’t rush through a task for the sake of getting it done.
do it + learn from it.
see what information you can extract from the process —
pay attention to how you put on your shoes. watch how your foot/sock glides into the shoe. do you put on the right shoe first or the left? have you always tied your laces like this?
got a new craft project to complete? perfect! how many taps of the hammer did it take to drive that nail into place? it’s almost unbelievable that a ball of yarn can make a sweater, ainnit? how many different versions of green can you make mixing yellow + blue?
while you’re folding clothes + putting away laundry, feel how each fabric differs from the next. notice how even the same socks have distinct differences. enjoy the process of folding an item with love + care.
fascinate yourself with anything you’d typically overlook.
get curious + use your senses to help you navigate your experiences.
we miss beautiful details when we rush, fam.
take your time to get to know your environment; to get to know the task at hand.
immerse yourself in the experience by forgetting about everything else.
concentrate on what’s in front of you, give yourself an opportunity to figure out what needs to be done now, + enjoy uncovering a new outlook on what you’d consider the mundane.
be you, be dope!
