stop.
before you decide to go out + attempt to get more of what you’ve already got,
ask yourself:
have i taken the time to appreciate what i already have?
am i using what i have now?
have i released what no longer serves me before attempting to usher in more?
hoarding + clinging to what’s old is operating from a place of scarcity.
why won’t you let go of what you don’t need, fam?
if you need it + you’ve already got it, why not use it up until it’s gone?
getting more is much different than needing more.
the former is birthed out of desire (getting), while the latter one is birthed out of survival (need).
focus on why; be purpose driven + intentional about what you’re bringing into your life.
do you really need more food when you have salad greens + other produce going bad in the fridge? can you eat that first before buying more?
do you really need more clothes? can you wear what you have? if you can’t wear it, can you donate it to someone who can?
do you really need more body washes, perfumes, lotions + other cosmetics? can throw out all of the expired ones + get rid of what you don’t like first? can you use what you already have before purchasing more?
do you really need more patience, more time, more space, etc.? can you use what you’re already got more efficiently?
recognize the abundance that exists in your life.
you don’t need more of what you’ve already got, fam…
you simply need to use what you have + let go of what you aren’t using to make room for what you want.
everything you need — everything! — you already have.
look within to find what more of what you’re looking for…
real talk: it’s already there.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
what do you feel you need more of in your life right now? is it already in your possession? if so, are you using it? why or why not?
