when a situation brings down your energy levels

whether a situation gets better or worse sounds like it’s in the hands of others, but it’s really up to you, fam.

hearing + processing this for the first time may be kinda overwhelming, so let’s chat a little:

for a moment, recall a situation or circumstance that brought down your energy levels.

as you experienced more + more of the situation, you felt your energy draining from your body + ultimately felt somewhat depleted by it.

ultimately, it becomes a situation or circumstance that you attempt to avoid, if possible, or resent being a part of because it makes you feel so powerless.

but here’s what we know to be true about life: for every action, there is an equal + opposite reaction.

whatever you feel can bring you down also holds to the power to syce you up.

two things can be true: the situation or circumstance can work your nerves   + it can also inspire you to take action with a changed heart, mind, + spirit.

today, don’t allow a situation or circumstance to have power of your feelings, thoughts, + actions. 

instead you decide how it can help you whether its by altering the way you view it or by giving it the permission to change you for the better.

transformation comes after we accept things for what they are + move forward without trying to fix them, rather our focus lies in “fixing” or transforming ourselves to better navigate the situation.

honor the various approaches you use to deal with people, situations, + circumstances that might have, at one time, got you all riled up.

now, when you find yourself in them, you are cool as a cucumber.

regaining your power + controlling your feelings isn’t an easy task, yet it’s the most transformative task you’ll ever take on to date.

the situation + circumstances don’t matter + they never will. 

what matters?

what you decide to do + who you decide to become when faced them.
