you interact with them daily.
you see them at your job,
randomly on the streets,
at your local stores,
they attend worship services with you,
+
they even are found at your schools, your extracurricular activities, + quite frankly any + everywhere you look.
who you see are people —
people with life stories,
people with hardships,
people with families,
people with dreams,
people with feelings.
today, extend kindness to people.
remember you, too, have a story, experience hardships, have a family, dreams, + feelings.
your kindness may be the only kindness they experience today.
plus it serves no one, not even yourself, to be cold-hearted + callous.
show up as your best self today, fam.
stand in your values, extend grace, + accept that wherever you happen to be in your life, you set the mood, you change the temperature, + you are the trendsetter.
when disappointed, angry, frustrated, + impatient,
you can still make the decision to take a deep breath,
calm your spirit, offer kindness, lend a smile,
+
resist the urge to act on impulse, instead acting with intent + purpose.
when the world is giving you a funky ass attitude, decide if you want to perpetuate it by giving back the same energy or if that shit talking ends with you.
you hold the power to change the world, fam + regardless of your circumstances, enacting kindness is always a choice.
be you, be dope!
