do you want validation, brownie points, or cracker jack prizes?

not everyone will like what you think, say, or do.

likewise, you will not like what everyone thinks, says, or does.

today, agree to disagree.

accept that everyone has their own way of thinking + doing + give other’s space to maintain their own perspectives.

you gain absolutely nothing arguing a point into the ground while attempting to convince someone to believe what you believe or to prove that you’re right.

right for what

what do you gain by being right

validation? brownie points? cracker jack prize?

we all live in some state of delusion.

though we may believe we are walking in truth + with integrity, to someone else we are living in a state of delulu because conceptually, their mind cannot fathom thinking the way we think or living the way we live.

it’s our rights, as individuals, to freely think + to live life on our own terms.

you lose absolutely nothing by giving others the opportunity to come up with their own conclusions.

your responsibility lies in living in your truth + it’s on you to invite others into your world with kindness, compassion, + love.

there is a true value in honoring differing perspectives, in learning from others, in accepting others fully + completely, + in hearing others with our hearts rather than with our logic.

we won’t fully understand every thing we are presented with today, fam, + that’s okay.

but one thing we can understand is how important it is to feel seen + heard; to be supported + loved unconditionally; to connect with others, to be appreciated + to be ourselves.

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

what’s on point of interest/view presented to you today that you vehemently are against? why?

in what ways can you still show up for a person while honoring yourself when your views are totally misaligned?
