the truth to why we exist

name something that can be hard to accept — i’ll go first:

the truth.

now, name something that when not accepted, it makes your life even harder — i’ll speak up again:

the truth.

no matter which way you swing it, the truth is the truth.

without it, living can prove itself to be much more difficult than what is has to be for you.

today, accept the truth for face value.

notice i didn’t say you have to agree with it or support it, simply accept it.

whether deemed universal truths or personal truths, they are what they are to us: our realities.

you don’t have to adopt someone’s truth or reality as your own, you don’t even have to assign meaning to it or figure out “why” they do/believe what they do/believe; rather, accept that it is their truth + learn to let it be what it’s gonna be… their’s.

you aren’t in the business of changing someone’s perspective or proving that what they experience is/isn’t real — no.

you’re here to live in your truths, to shine your light, to share your experiences, + to be who you are.

imagine how different life can be when you accept that our lived experiences, our truths, vary from one person to next.

imagine how peaceful, empathetic, caring + loving we can be + feel toward one another when we accept where people are in their lives + love them regardless of what truths they want to believe.

the truth can set us all free, fam.

we must accept that variant realities exist to peacefully coexist.

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

what personal truth do you have a hard time accepting about yourself?

what truth about someone else do you have a hard time accepting?

are people entitled to have different perspectives, different truths, about their own lives? why or why not?
