was it praise or was it criticism?

don’t be swayed by the perceived positive or the perceived negative remarks + comments.

whether you receive praise or someone is coming for your neck, do your best to not react.

accept that people have their opinions + give yourself space to move forward in grace.

one minute people like you + love what you do, the next minute everyone is a critic + has something to say about what you’re doing it.

though it’s easy to make praise or criticism a focus in your life, none of that is your concern.

all you can do is your best, fam.

you can have the best intentions + still fall short of the goal.

you can also make the biggest impact on others while you’re still figuring it out.

learn to take your days in stride, knowing that you’re putting your best foot forward + that your efforts + actions align with who you are at your core.

people will have something to say regardless of what you do, fam, so don’t get enchanted by their praises or feel defeated because of their criticisms.

live your life knowing that bit by bit you are making progress,

take breaks, deep breaths, + sit in silence as needed,

+

learn that through the noise, your focused energy can still be on experiencing a lifestyle that you are choosing to live.

block out the noise, fam,

do what brings you joy.

be you, be dope!
