a simple process that we stay overcomplicating

as simple of a concept as waiting is, we tend to make it more complex than it has to be.

waiting requires us to slow down sometimes to the state of stillness + because we have a hard time with remaining still, we have a hard time practicing + implementing patience.

then, because we complicate the process of patience, we worry that we aren’t waiting correctly.

this causes us to perpetuate a cycle of worry in which we say we’re waiting for something to happen when really we are avoiding it because it’s inducing anxiety… it’s a mess, fam.

i say all that to say this: today, practice waiting.

dismiss the thoughts that stillness is lazy or unproductive.

let go of the need to control an outcome to feel like waiting is meaningful + purposeful.

reframe your mindset to see the value in acting out of intention vs. acting out of fear + how different those two actions feel.

the only way to fully grasp how to wait + move with intention + clarity is to actually wait + move with intention + clarity.

waiting requires faith + belief that all things are working for your highest good whether you are actively moving or purposefully still.

there’s no right or wrong way to do this.

since right + wrong are so subjective, get into the mindset that waiting can look different for different people + that how you wait doesn’t have to be the same way that others wait.

you don’t have to rush through life to live one that’s full + purposeful.

today, challenge yourself to change your way of thinking (specifically when it comes to waiting) + witness in real time how waiting can change the course of your life.

be you, be dope!
