a starting point on your journey

this sun ain’t the same sun we grew up with, fam.

subtlety, over the years + right before our eyes, the intensity of heat it exudes has become more + more apparent to us

(at times it’s so hot, it feels like it’s burning a hole directly through the earth — muy caliente)! 🥵

let this serve as a reminder that everything changes — situations, circumstances, the sun, + yes: even you.

like the sun, you’ve subtlety changed from just yesterday!

yesterday taught you valuable lessons + today you have the opportunity to implement everything that you’ve learned.

what did you learn about yourself when you encountered big feelings in the past? how did you handle them + what do you need to do to calm yourself down?

what did you learn about yourself when that person walked slowly in front of you?

what did you learn about yourself when someone asks you, “how are you doing”? how did you respond? was it truthful?

what did you learn about yourself when you saw others posting or speaking about a controversial current event? did you join in? if so, what opinion did you offer up? what impact on the conversation did you have by sharing?

take what you’ve learned + apply those lessons today.

do yourself a favor by identifying yourself as a lifelong learner.

don’t everrrrr stop learning about yourself + learning about life around you.

take every opportunity you can to connect with life on a deeper, more meaningful level by asking questions, by observing, + by listening.

why is the sun so much hotter these days? investigating that can serve as a starting point on your journey of lifelong learning.

at any rate, whatever you decide to do today, remain open to learning something different + with the acquired information remain open to doing something different.

be you, be dope!
