an avenue worth exploring

hurting others won’t ease your pain.

when you feel satisfaction in another’s pain, that feeling is temporary at best.

you gain everything you’re looking for by moving forward, by forgiving.

there’s nothing truly gained from watching another suffer.

through forgiveness, you can acquire a fresh, new perspective.

seeking revenge is no longer in the forefront of your mind.

beyond that, you can see another side — their side.

not to say that it’s the right or wrong side, but seeing where someone is coming from, empathizing with them, shows some real strength, sis.

know what else? you gain your freedom.

do you know how fuckin’ fantastic + freeing it feels to not have to worry about something beyond your control?

essentially, you reclaim your power.

if you’ve never experienced it, i encourage you free yourself from the shackles of allowing others power + control over your feelings.

choosing how you want to feel is your choice, fam.

+ choosing yourself above all is what forgiveness is about, really.

forgiveness doesn’t mean you agree with what others do, doesn’t mean you condone their actions, + it doesn’t mean you are a doormat.

forgiveness gives you the power to go about your life in a meaningful + purposeful way.

it presents the perspective you need to make different choices for yourself.

remember, you always have a choice.

is forgiveness an avenue worth your exploration?

ultimately, it’s up to you.

be you, be dope!
