choosing to enjoy life in spite of struggle

what’s worse than not getting something done?

doing it begrudgingly. 😖

if you’re gonna have an attitude about it,

if you’re going to talk shit while doing it,

if you’re not going to enjoy it as best as you can,

then why do it all, fam?

facts: there are some things that must be done that we do not enjoy doing.

there are situations that unfold that we oppose + circumstances that arise that cause for pause.

yet, hear this:

every situation + circumstance presents an opportunity to expand, to grow, + to be the best person we know how to be.

how you act is a choice.

you’re telling me that instead of working through your feelings of discomfort + seeing the benefits of doing the work, you’d rather choose to have a terrible attitude about it?

challenges, by design, are challenging.

the work you do isn’t about the result of what gets done, it’s all about the process.

it’s whether you choose to enjoy life in spite of struggle.

it’s in the joy you have in “being able to” vs. “feeling obligated to”.

it’s in the story you write through your attitude —

from what pov/perspective are you writing your life story? was that you did truly as terrible as you’re making it out to be?

what’s true for you is that you hold the power to change the course of your life + it serves you no real justice to see yourself as a victim or prisoner of your own life.

may the work you do today be met with your best efforts, + reflect your passion + drive to live the life you’ve always wanted to live.

change your attitude,

change your life.

be you, be dope!
