your eyes are good for showing you what can be, but when it comes to what actually is?
not their forte.
our scope is limited + our view is somewhat obstructed.
we only see what we notice + can only decipher it with knowledge we’ve already acquired.
in other words: most times we can’t see what we aren’t looking for.
challenge your sight today + look beyond what is right in front of you.
think big + dream even bigger.
you see all of the opportunities in front of you? now see the possibilities!
take notice of what you haven’t seen before by changing your perspective, literally.
instead of looking at your cup of water as you always do, tilt your head to the side + sit with what you see: same cup, different view.
sit on the floor for a while.
stand while doing a task you normally do sitting.
walk down the hallway on the opposite side of your norm.
you may be doing the exact same things you normally do, but tell me: what do you see that is different, fam?
you’ve built your way of life on how you perceive things — shit, we all have.
today, you have a chance to challenge that.
take the time today to approach your every day routine with optimism + a fresh outlook.
see life from a different pov + renew your mindset in the process.
everything ain’t what it seems.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
think of a current circumstance you’re experiencing that is proving itself difficult for you to handle right now.
imagine you are on the outside looking in — very plainly, what is it that you see? objectively, what are some ways to resolve the situation? remember, these answers do not have to match your beliefs or morals.
personally, are you willing to take any of those steps? why or why not?
